 | | | Electrcity connection | |
Plans are far advanced for Dominase Electoral Area and its surrounding environs within the Gomoa East District of the Central Region to be connected to the national grid to boost economic activities in the area.
Mr. Amos Asiedu Kumah, assemblyman for the area who made this known to Ghanadistricts.com appealed to government and the energy commission to expedite works on the project.
In other developments, the assemblyman commended teachers in the area for their effective performance that contributed to the overwhelming performance of candidates in last year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
He noted that the community recorded 66% in last year’s BECE results, a figure he noted was the best as compared to what had been recorded in previous years.
Mr. Kumah called on the assembly to provide students with adequate text books and a modern Information Communication Technology (ICT) center to enhance teaching and learning in the area.
He further appealed to government and other development partners to construct new classroom block for the Dominase Primary and Junior High School (JHS).
He disclosed that the increase in population in the area has directly affected enrollment levels, hence the need to get additional classroom blocks and desks to meet the increasing demands of these facilities in the school.
