KINTAMPO: Assembly achieves revenue target

It appears measures put in place to increase revenue inflow by the Kintampo Assembly is yielding some positive results as the district has achieved about 96% of its revenue target for the year 2011.
In an address to assembly members during the six session of the six assembly, an elated Alhassan Seidu Harrison the Chief Executive for area noted that the volume of work to be done by the assembly is so huge that every effort must be employed to maximize revenue inflow to the assembly.
He observed that though the current revenue secured is about 32% higher than the previous year more measures are needed to seal all loopholes in the district with regards to revenue collection.
He disclosed to the assembly members that 60 motor bikes have been secured by the district for onward distribution to members while the remaining six will be received later to complement the total 66 members of the assembly.
He gave the assurance that his office will continue to map out strategies to improve the economic welfare of the people.
