ASSIN N.:Assembly rolls out development Projects

The Assin North Municipal Assembly continues to roll out development projects under various interventions to give the area a facelift.

The projects which were funded by the District Assembly Common Fund, GETFund and other international organizations as the Japan International Cooperation Agency JICA are either at the completion stage or still ongoing.

Details of these projects were contained in an address delivered by the Municipal Chief Executive MCE of the Assin North Assembly Hon Alex D. Antwi-Boasiako at the second ordinary meeting of the assembly at Assin Foso.

Under JICA the Municipality is benefiting from 8 No. 3-unit classroom blocks and 8 No. 3 seater toilet facilities at Sekanbodua, Afenase Kurowfofordo, Odumamse Wawase, and Nyamebekyere amongst others.

The Assembly has also funded the construction of twelve and twenty Units markets stalls at Praso and Foso respectively. Work on a four Unit Out Patient Department office and the furnishing of an assembly and a guest house is currently ongoing.

Under the GETFund funding, various classroom blocks in various communities have been earmarked for construction whiles others are still ongoing.

Eight communities including Aponsie, Subinso and Donkorkrom are to be provided with 3 and 6 Units classroom blocks to facilitate education.

On roads, the Adewu and Japan Bridge communities are to benefit from a 5.5 and a 6.4km spot improvement respectively to facilitate vehicular movements and to ensure easy accessibility to these areas.
