ASUTIFI:71 motorbikes for assembly members

The District Chief Executive for Asutifi, Hon. Eric Addae has disclosed the Assembly’s intention to facilitate the acquisition of licenses from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) for assembly members in the district ,since they require a driver’s license in order to drive.
He made this known when distributing 71 brand new Royal motorbikes to assembly members in the district.
The 1,700 Ghana Cedis worth per a bike is anticipated to assist the daily work schedules of the assembly members in the various Electoral Areas.
“You are also expected to intensify your visits to the electorates with the view to discussing their needs with them for onward transmission to the Assembly and again inform them of the various decision taken”, the DCE asserted.
Presenting the motorbikes to the Assembly Members Hon. Addae further stated that, the purpose for which the motorbikes were being distributed is to help them attend meetings and other important programmes and help strengthen the local government sector.
According to him the unprecedented gesture by government is worth commending. “I hope you have started experiencing the Better Ghana Agenda in Asutifi District”, he added.
He charged them to work solidly to bring development to Asutifi District to fulfill the Better Ghana Agenda of the NDC government.
