AJUMAKO: Ahenbronum get street light

Street light

Ahenbronum-Ajumako in the Ajumako District has benefitted eighteen street lights from the assembly’s common fund.

The assemblyman for the electoral area Mr. Robert K. Appiah said the community for a long time had written proposal to the assembly to provide them with street lights but was to no avail until recently when the assembly granted their request by providing them with lights in the community.

He said the availability of the lights has provided an avenue whereby the people in the community can trade during the evening and there is a sense of security in movement as well.

Mr.  Appiah stated that as the assemblyman for the area, he organized a communal labour to clean up the community and its surroundings an exercise which included all the young in the community.

According to him, the community lacks portable water. He added that the community is expanding thereby putting pressure on the existing facilities.

He called on the assembly to extend electricity to the new communities and provide portable drinking water for the community.
