KPANDO: Residents hail proposed elevation of Kpando District

Residents of Kpando have expressed gratitude to government for the proposed elevation of the district to a municipal status.

According to some who spoke to Ghanadistricts.com, they cannot but thank government for finally granting them this wish since they have been expecting all this while. The news was received with wild jubilation across the district amidst great expectations.

District Chief Executive Francis K. Ganyaglo said the elevation is a well deserved one and a platform to enable greater things to be done. He said a municipality comes with some fringe benefits and they are hoping to make good use of those benefits to quicken the pace of development.

According to him, the curving of a new district called North Dayi from the Kpando District is without doubt a relief because by becoming independent, more communities would now access development at a faster rate.
