KADJEBI: Gov’t completes 7.5km ‘missing link’ on Kadjebi-Okanta road
 | | | Tarred road | |
Government has received commendation for completing the missing link between Kadjebi and Okanta road which had been a major worry to motorists on that road.
Residents say completion of the 7.5km stretch of the road came as great relief since they can now move their farm produce smoothly to market centres without difficulties.
The District Chief Executive Seth Alifui said until the completions of the road vehicles were always stuck at both ends of the road because of its bad nature with some drivers even refusing to ply the road.
The resultant effect therefore was back locks of farm produce which eventually get rotten because they cannot reach the markets where they are needed most.
He hoped other road networks in the district will soon be given the necessary attention to enhance the carting of farm produce especially cocoa.
The assembly he indicated has been carrying out period reshaping of feeder roads in the district and pledged to continue with that.
