GOMOA EAST : Assembly to enhance town planning
 | | | A planned visinity | |
The Gomoa East District Assembly is taking measures to halt the improper and wreckless citing of structures such as shops and houses in the district.
The move according to the district planning officer Philip Acheampong is to enhance the planning and proper lay out of the area.
As a first measure to bring sanity with regards to siting of structures Acheampong told Ghanadistricts.com in an interview that the assembly will henceforth insist that developers follow laid down procedures regarding new buildings.
He attributed the current situation to the lack of existing layout plan for development but assured that all new projects will be scrutinized and placed at the right places per the plan of the assembly.
He added that all communities under the district will be involved in the new process to ensure uniformity and collective development in the district.
