BOLGA: Armed robbers on the rampage, kills two on Bolgatanga road.

Two persons, a driver and a passenger reportedly died, scores of travellers sustained various degrees of injuries, as nine men suspected to be of Fulani origin attacked two buses all en-route to Bolgatanga from Tamale at about 1.a.m Sunday dawn.
Reports reaching Ghanadistricts has it that the robbers emerged from a nearby bush and started firing indiscriminately at the first bus killing the driver instantly and virtually leaving the fate of the passengers and the bus in no hands until it crash into some structure after it had moved unmanned for some few meters injuring more passengers in the process.
They then turned to the second bus with registration number GC 2610 Z and robbed the passengers of their cash and personal effects after subjecting the passengers in the first bus to similar ordeal.
Narrating the incident to newsmen, the Northern Regional Public Relation Officer (PRO) of the Ghana Police service Ebenezer Tetteh said news of the incident got to his outfit after the robbers had finished with their criminal acts. He however gave the assurance that the robbers will be smoked out of their hideout and dealt with.
He further expressed worry about the spate of robbery on the highways in the region and called on the residents to volunteer information that would lead to the arrest of the perpetrators of those heinous acts so as to bring some comfort to travelers.
