Mrs Christina Kobinah, Municipal Chief Executive for Tarkwa has appealed for an improvement in the Revenue collection in district to enable the district embark on all of its developmental projects

Giving her sectional address at the second ordinary meting of the municipal assembly,Mrs Christina Kobinah, noted that the assembly under her leadership will make judicious use of revenues collected.

She disclosed that, the Assembly was able to mobilize 2,228,796.96 Ghana cedis out of an estimated figure of 6,853,581.61 Ghana cedis.

The MCE explained that, the expenditure for the same period was 2,285,837.61 Ghana cedis, as against an estimated expenditure of 6,752,302.41 for this year.

She said the numerous development challenges facing the Assembly required an aggressive programme to mobilise sufficient money to transform the living conditions of the people in the area.

Mrs Gifty E. Kusi, Member of Parliament (MP) for Tarkwa-Nsueam constituency, called on the assembly members to be vigilant in the supervision and monitoring of projects in their electoral areas, saying that they should take pragmatic steps to ensure that the Assembly benefitted from the huge investments being made.

Mrs Kusi said as principal stakeholders of the communities, the Assembly members had been given the opportunity to ensure proper collaboration with the people to promote peace and development.

She urged Assembly members to make good use of all the resources at their disposal to the benefit of the people they served and to be accountable to them as well.
