(PRAMPRAM)DANGME WEST :MOPATOUR meets GGO.

Musicians on Pan Africa Tour(MOPATOUR) team have held a concert and interacted with some African Americans, mainly Ghanaians amongst the organisation known as Ghanaians in Georgia Organisation at the shores of Prampram in the Ga East district to initiate a better rapport with them.

The concert also aimed at mobilising funds in support of refugees,relief purposes in Africa and MOPATOUR activities.

Display of cultural differences in music, clothing and interaction flavored the activities and gave it a unique presentation cum marvelous end in totality.

Present for performance and display of real Ghanaian and African music included the WINDAFRIC band, GAWU DRAMATIC Cultural troupe , RAS APPIAH LEVI (President of MOPATOUR) amongst others.

Some partakers in the activities representing the Ghanaians in Georgia Organisation expressed their satisfaction with the performances and rappour and hoped to see more of the splendid performances in the USA whilst lending the utmost support to the whole project.

They also expressed readiness to  help in the building of the country and improving persceptions about it internationally.

The musical tour will be undertaken in the period of August to October 2011 and will be performed by top -notched Pan Africa musicians from Ghana including Simigwahene Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Ras Caleb Appiah-Levi, Abankaba Cultural Troupe, Paulina Oduro, Della Hayes & Dzesi (Women of Color Band and the only all women band in Ghana), Bessa Simons, Jackie Ankrah-Annan, Afro, Kaksey, Steve Bedi, Ramblers Int’l Band and Wind Afrique Band (all based in Ghana).

They would be supported by their American counterparts such as Actor-Singer-Guitarist Steven Seagal (Los Angeles, California), Infrared Rockers Band (St. Louis, Missouri), Auntie Niambi Shalewa (Chicago), Ray Greene (Boston, Massachusetts), Burning Spear (New York, NY) and Ras Matunji (Cleveland, Ohio), who will perform as Special Guests.

The projects will afford  Ghana the opportunity to attract major businesses, companies, institutions  and individuals apart from educating on pan africanism.
