LAWRA : Assembly to improve on revenue collection measures-DCE

In an effort to enhance revenue collection for local level development, the DCE for Lawra, Sampson Abu has appealed to his fellow chief executives to resort to other legitimate but creative ways of generating revenues to support their developmental programs.

He observed that some of the challenges the local assemblies meet is the lack of  required number of revenue collection officers to embark on revenue collection in the districts.

He has therefore decided meet with his assembly members to deliberate on new methods of generating revenue by considering all the possible options available to them.

in order to motivate the collection agencies and officers, Abu noted that he will personally join in the collection of revenues in his district to ensure that revenue is maximised for the assembly to embark on the needed developmental projects.
