GA EAST : Drainage construction progresses at Haatso

Construction work on gutters along the Haatso-ECOMOG road in the Ga East Municipality is steadily progressing.

Edward Ayitey Aryee, the Assemblyman for Haatso Papao who expressed delight at work on the drains indicated that the drains form the first step towards improving the entire road net work as part of the package.

He said delays in the release of funds to the Municipal urban roads under whose auspices the project was being constructed was slow hence the focus has been on the main roads in the area adding that the community roads will subsequently be attended to when more funds is made available.

The Assemblyman said the project was long overdue as it was the sure way of preventing the road being washed away especially during the rainy season.

He was hopeful the project will be completed successfully and on time to reduce time spent by motorists on the road due to potholes.
