TARKWA NSUAEM : Pistol found on passenger

A Tarkwa circuit court has remanded Kumor Soajo alias Kwasi Badu, aged 35 for possession of a locally manufactured pistol.

He pleaded not guilty and will reappear on November 20.

Prosecuting Police Inspector Wisdom Nuworkpor told the court presided over Mr. Samuel Obeng-Diawuo that on November 7, this year, the suspect was travelling with other passengers on a Kumasi bound bus, however, on reaching a spot at Bawdie a passenger complained that her GH¢350 had been stolen.

A search was then conducted on the vehicle after which some pellets were found.

The Police Officer then proceeded to inform his Superior, however when he returned, the vehicle was no where to be found.

The Police then mounted a search for the vehicle and finally caught up with it at the Bawdie- Kumasi barrier where one locally manufactured pistol and GH¢ 280 was also found on Badu.
