(KWADASO NZEMA) KMA : Head Pastor commits suicide

The General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana and Head Pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church in Accra, Rev. Dr. Fred Deegbe, has confirmed to citi news the death of the Head Pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church in Kwadaso Nzema in Kumasi.

Rev. Opoku Agyeman allegedly locked and shot himself dead in his room around 4pm on Monday, July 26.

Reasons for his action are not yet known but Rev. Deegbe, who says he knows Rev. Opoku Agyeman quite well as a member of the Ghana Baptist Convention, told Citi News that nothing in the recent past suggested that Rev. Opoku Agyeman was a troubled man.

He assured that the church would investigate the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate demise of the pastor and take appropriate actions as soon as possible.

Meanwhile the body of the deceased has been moved from his residence to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue.
