(SPORTS- SOCCER) LOCAL: Opeele rants after Yeboah

Tema Youth are licking the wounds after Black Stars midfielder Daniel Yeboah swerved them at the last minute to sign for Heart of Lions from Liberty Professionals.
The Tema club were convinced they will have the midfield enforcer in their side for the November 23rd opening of the domestic league season but must now find a replacement before the registration window closes on Friday.
The club say they had offered the player 3-year deal and advanced a salary of 15,000 dollars to him in addition to making plans for his relocation from Dansoman to Tema.
"We were very sure of signing him and had advanced plans on everything," Isaac Opeele Boateng said.
"But he kept giving us excuses and then at the last minute he comes back to tell us he has a deal in the US so he returned our money.
“I can’t understand that. It makes me angry because we know he has now signed for Heart of Lions. He is a football whore and we should not entertain players like that."
Yeboah has been in demand after some outstanding performance in the last season for Liberty Professionals where he rediscovered himself after a difficult spell at Asante Kotoko.
He stepped effortlessly into Michael Essien’s shoes during the Ghana/Lesotho World Cup qualifier winning praise from coach Milovan Rajevac as a player who can play at the highest level.
It is a level that Lions who have qualified to play in the African Champions League can provide him which may have been a key factor in his decision to do a u-turn on his Tema Youth commitment.
