(SPORTS- SOCCER) LOCAL: Atletico to lose Jibril

Spanish giants, Athletico Madrid, are on the verge of losing out on the chance to sign Accra Hearts of Oak’s teenage sensation, Tawrick Jibril.

Mr Ashford Tetteh-Oku, Administrative Manager of the club hinted this to Sporting Times yesterday.

"We have given Atletico Madrid today (yesterday) as the deadline, to show seriousness in the player or risk losing him to other bidders".

English side, Arsenal, are prepared to match the Phobians asking price, but they gave the first option to the Spanish side, since they were the first to show interest in the talented prodigy.

Arsenal are reportedly ready to part with $1.5m, but have also warned the Phobians to respond to their proposals within a specific period, if they want the deal to go through.

Tawrick Jibril came to the limelight, when he featured for Accra Hearts of Oak in the just-ended premier league.

The 16-year old talent showed a lot of potential in the matches he played for the Phobians.
