Hon. Anane  comes from Santasi in the Ashanti Region and was born on 12th March, 1959. He is married with four children. He holds MB CHB from Kwame Nkrumah Universities of Science and Technology (KNUST),1983.

Hon. Anane is a Medical Doctor and was the Doctor of Hebron Clinic, Bantama before he became an MP in 1997. He is  a Christian (Catholic).

He obtained 36, 067 votes out of the 47, 535 valid votes cast = 75.9% in the last elections and represents the New Patriotic party and a member of the minority in parliament.
