Born on October 19,1949 and comes from Koforidua, Eastern Region and married with six children.He holds PhD (Agricultural Economics) Cambridge University, UK, which he obtained in 1985.

He is an Educationist/Teacher and was a Company Director/Commodities Consultant  before he became an MP in 2005. He is a christian(Catholic).

He obtained 43,238 votes out of the 52,261 valid votes cast = 82.7% in the last elections and represents the New Patriotic party and a member of the minority in parliament.
