Born on June 16, 1960 and comes from Assin Dompin in the Central Region and married with six children.He holds a GCE ’A’ Level which he obtained in 1983 and spent three years at Fordham University, New York, USA .

Hon. Agyapong is a Farmer/Businessman and has been the managing director of Assin Farms; Supercare Group of Companies; Hollywood Shopping Centre; since 2001 and during his tenure as  MP. He is a christian(Methodist).

He obtained 24,181 votes out of the 43,928 valid votes cast = 55.0% in the last elections and represents the New Patriotic party and a member of the minority in parliament.
