Born on February 2,1954 and comes from Pusiga, Upper East Region and married with eight children.He holds General Nursing Certificate (Nigeria),  EMGL(GIMPA)which he obtained in 1984 and 2008 respectively.

Hon. Agyabeng is a Nurse and was the Senior Nursing Officer, Akunye Memorial Clinic before he became an MP in 2005. He is a christian(Catholic) .

He obtained 8,803 votes out of the 15,684 valid votes cast = 56.1% in the last elections and represents the National Democratic Congress and a member of the majority in parliament.
