Born on November 17,1950 and comes from Bole, Northern Region and married with seven children.He holds MBA (Marketing) University of Miami, Florida, USA, which he obtained in 1986 .

He is a  Marketing Expert and was the Sales and Marketing Manager, Dupaul Wood Treatment (Ghana) Company Limited, Takoradi before he became an MP. He believes in Islam.

He obtained 11,452 votes out of the 17,679 valid votes cast = 64.8% in the last elections and represents the National Democratic Congress and a member of the majority in parliament.
