Born on August 19,1951 and comes from Koforidua, Eastern Region and widowed with three children.She holds MSc (Education), University of Edinburgh, Scotland,  which he obtained in 2001.

She is an Educationist/Teacher and was the Regional Manager, Presbyterian Schools, Greater Accra Region before she became an MP . She is a christian(Presbyterian).

She obtained 34,409 votes out of the 56,102 valid votes cast = 61.3% in the last elections and represents the New Patriotic party and a member of the minority in parliament.
