Madam Speaker, the conduct of free, fair, transparent and acceptable election worldwide requires an independent, well trained and well resourced Electoral Commission to deliver. The Committee believes that if the above recommendations are carried out, it will go a long way to enhance the work of the Electoral Commission thereby making future elections more effective, efficient, timely and acceptable.
