They met when Pres Kufuor was in London on his way to New York to Attend the 62nd UN General Assembly. 01. It was attended by heads of States and Government or their representatives and many
affiliated institutions and bodies of the UN.
Pres Kufuor and his delegates from Ghana attended, including The First Lady, Mrs Theresa Kufuor, Hon Akwasi Osei Agyei, Foreign Minister; Hon Joe Baidoe-Ansah,
Min. for Trade, PSD and PSI; Mrs. Mercy Bampoe Addo, Dep. Min. in the Office of the President; Ambassador D. K Osei and Hon Andy Awuni
The opening session was addressed by the Secretary General Bang-Ki Moon, President da Silva of Brazil, President G.W. Bush after whom President Kufuor also addressed the General Assembly. 08. President J. A Kufuor attended and addressed the summit amoung many other Heads of States and Governments.

Bilateral Meetings President Kufuor held bilateral meeting with President Yar’Adua of Nigeria in the sidelines of the UN Climate Changes Summit in New York.
Also meeting the President was Prime Minister of Portugal H. E Mr. Jose Socrates. Portugal assumes the Presidency of the European Union and are expected to hold the EU/AU Summit later this year.
Their discussion was expected to centre on the EU/AU cooperation during the Portugal’s Presidency of EU and the improvement of the Ghana/ Portugal bilateral relations.
The China Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Yang Jiechi also called on President Kufuor. He announced to President Kufuor of the impending visit of President Hu Jing Thao of
China to visit the Bui Dam Project.

UNCTAD briefing President Kufuor has led the Ghana UNCTAD 12 team to brief the UNCTAD Secrertariat in UN on Ghana’s readiness to host UNCTAD 12 in Accra in April 2008.
He was
received by the Dep. Secretary General in the absense of the Secretary General. Members of the team include Hon Joe Baidoe-Ansah, Minister for Trade, Industry,
PSD and PSI and Hon Akwasi Osei Agyei, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and NEPAD.
The rest of his team are Ambassador D. K. Osei; Hon Mercy Bampoe Addo, Dep Minister in the Office of the President; H. E. K Baah Duodu, Ghana Ambassador to
