Kassena Nankana District, one of the eight districts in the Upper East Region is located in the northern part of Ghana. It is bordered by the Republic of Burkina Faso, and the Bolgatanga, Bonga, Builsa, Sissala and Mamprusi West Districts. It stretches for 55 kilometres from north to south and 53 kilometres from east to west. The district capital is Navrongo.
