Located in the northern part of Ashanti Region, Ejura-Sekyedumasi District. It is bordered to the east by Sekyere West District, to the south by Afigya Sekyere District and to the west by Offinso District. To the north, it is bordered by Atebubu and Nkoranza Districts, both of which are part of Brong Ahafo Region.
