The Adansi South District is situated in the south-eastern part of the Ashanti Region. The District shares boundaries with the Central and Eastern regions to the south and east respectively, and with the Adansi North, Amansie East and Asante Akim South Districts of the Ashanti Region to the north-west, north-east and south-east respectively. The district capital is New Edubiase, which is about 92km south of Kumasi on the Kumasi – Cape Coast trunk road.
