Teachers of second cycle institutions in the Sissala East District of the Upper West Region have strongly protested against the publication of research findings on the level of sexual harassment in Senior High Schools (SHSs) in the District.
The World Food Programme (WFP) in conjunction with the Sissala East District(SEDA) is undertaking a move to sustain the various economic modules like the National Youth Employment Programme(NYEP) now rebranded as Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency(GYEEDA) and the Local Entreprises and Skills Development Programme(LESDEP).
A considerable number of equipments have been delivered to some individuals who have taken training in certain skills under the Local Enterprise and Skills Development Programme (LESDEP) being implemented in the Sissala East District.
At least five residents at the Sissala East District have been supported by the Local Enterprise and Skills Development Programme (LESDEP) to acquire some tricycles for the purposes of helping to grow the local economy of the area.
In order to assist enhance the convenience of the Police in Tumu to enable them give off their best in the service, the Sissala East District Assembly has managed to donate some set of furniture to the Tumu Divisional Police.
