Chief Executive's message

I welcome you to the Ketu North District and invite all investors, development partners and indigenes, locally and in the Diaspora to this site and edge them to take advantage of the vast potential we have.
The West African Highway which passes through the district makes it a potential Trade Center and one of the fastest growing districts in Ghana.

The district has great potential especially in the Agriculture sector. The Agriculture College provides the Human Resource base for the industry. The Weta Irrigation Projects located at Awalavi are some of the prominent projects in the district and also widely known as Afife Rice Project.

The Dekpor, Lave and the Ohawu dam (which is yet to be exploited) and some dugouts in the district provides water for small scale rice production in the districts.

Also in the districts are high deposit of clay for the industrial production of ceramics and l encourage investors to venture into this area too.

The availability of Information Communication Technology facility provided by GIFEC at Weta also enhances effective management of business in the district.

I am therefore calling on all and sundry to visit and partner us in terms of Books, Science Laboratory and Computers to improve the Agriculture College to meet the modern standards.

We also invite you to take advantage of our Tourism sites in the district.
Thank you and May God bless our homeland Ghana.

…the District Chief Executive Hon. Claver Kofi Lawson
