
Religion Christianity is the dominant religion that is being practiced in the District. The other religious groups in the District are the Islam and Traditional African Religion. The Bar Chart below shows the percentage distribution of the religious groups in the District.
Unlike other areas of the country where religious diversity poses significant threat to conflict, the diversity in Kpandai District is rather a good tool for community mobilization and development.
Occupational Distribution of the Population The inhabitants are predominantly farmers using the fertile lands for the cultivation of food crops like yam, cassava, soya beans, cowpea, maize and groundnuts. Animal husbandry like rearing of cattle, sheep, goats and pigs are being undertaken in the district. Ethnicity Kpandai district is a cosmopolitan district with the Konkombas constituting about 68% of the District population. The pie chart below shows the percentage distribution of ethnic groups in the District. The widely spoken dialect is Twi.
