The Builsa North district is one of the thirteen (13) districts of the Upper East Region of Ghana. The Administrative capital of the District is Sandema. It lies between longitudes 1° 05’ West and 1° 35’ West and latitudes 10° 20’ and 10° 50’ North. The District shares boundaries with Kassena –Nankana West District to the North, to the West with Sissala East District in the Upper West Region, to the East with Kassena–Nankana East Municipal and to the south with Builsa South District.
Wabilinsa Assemblyman, in the Builsa District, Anang A. James is pressing for additional classroom blocks for the lone Kindergarten(Kg) school in the whole area, as pupils from primary two and beyond are forced to trek long distances to nearby towns to school.
The SADA Millennium Village Project (MVP) has supplied at least two primary schools in the Uwasi electoral area in the Builsa district with some 155 pieces of dual desk to facilitate the conduct of teaching and learning in classrooms.
