Bongo District is one of the Thirteen (13) Municipals and Districts in the Upper East Region, with Bongo Township as its district Administrative capital. It shares boundaries with Burkina Faso to the North, Kassena-Nankana East District to the West, Bolgatanga Municipal To the South West and Nabdam District to the South East.
The Bongo district assembly is worried that amidst the heavy investment being made towards the promotion of quality education for school children in the area, performance of their BECE results still takes a nose dive.
