Agotime-Ziope District was established by Legislative Instrument (LI 2080) of Parliament in 2012 following the separation of the then Adaklu-Anyigbe District and is part of the 25 districts in Volta Region. The capital of the District is Agotime Kpetoe. Agotime-Ziope District is bordered by the Republic of Togo to the East; Akatsi North and Central Tongu Districts to the South and the Adaklu District to the West and North. The District covers a total land area of about Six Hundred and Thirty-Seven kilometres square (637km2)
Organisers of a political education forum at Ziope at Agortime-Ziope in the Volta Region on Friday ordered that a role-play on political tolerance should be stopped, when it showed bias towards a political party.
