Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal


Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal forms part of twenty two (22) Metropolitan, Municipalities and Districts in the Western Region of Ghana. The Municipality t is located between Latitude 400’N and 500 40’N and Longitudes 10 45’ W and 20 10’W.  The Administrative capital of the municipality is Tarkwa .It Bounded to the north with Prestea-Huni Valley District, the south by the Ahanta West District, the West by the Nzema East Municipal and the East by Mpohor District and Wassa East District respectively. The Municipality has a total land area of 2354 sq. km.

  • TARKWA: Tarkwa-Apimanim road to be marked soon

    The Minister for Roads and Highways, Mr. Amin Amidu Sulemana, has  assured the people of Tarkwa and its surrounding communities that the unmarked portion of the Tarkwa to Apimanim road in the Western Region would soon to be marked to reduce the high rate of accidents recorded on that stretch of the road.

    African Development Bank (AfDB) has constructed an ultra modern hospital at a cost of 23.29 million dollars for the people of Tarkwa and its environs to strengthen quality health care delivery in the country.

  • TARKWA: More road accidents recorded

    Deputy Commissioner of Police Kofi Boakye, the Western Regional Police Commander, has appealed to the Urban Roads Department and other agencies to ensure proper road markings on all major roads within the Region to curbl needless accidents.

  • TARKWA: Govt to regulate telecommunication masts

    The Minister of Communication, Dr. Edward-Omane Boamah has assured the public that government had developed guidelines for regulating the construction of telecommunication masts.
