The Assin South District is among the twenty (20) districts of the Central Region of Ghana. Nsuaem-Kyekyewere is the district capital.
The district shares common boundaries with Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira on the West, Abura Asebu Kwamankese District on the South, Asikuma Odoben-Brakwa and Ajumako Enyan-Esiam on the East and Assn North Municipal to the Northern boarder.
The Assin South District Assembly will soon roll-out its programmes and policies for the year under the “Better Ghana” agenda initiative following a directive from the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) that all District Chief Executives are to retain their positions until May 2013.
