The Assin South District is among the twenty (20) districts of the Central Region of Ghana. Nsuaem-Kyekyewere is the district capital.
The district shares common boundaries with Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira on the West, Abura Asebu Kwamankese District on the South, Asikuma Odoben-Brakwa and Ajumako Enyan-Esiam on the East and Assn North Municipal to the Northern boarder.
The Assin South District Assembly will soon roll-out its programmes and policies for the year under the “Better Ghana” agenda initiative following a directive from the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) that all District Chief Executives are to retain their positions until May 2013.

Accommodation for the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Assin South District Assembly in the Central Region has finally reached its completion with only few works left to be done.
