Mfantseman Municipal is located along the Atlantic coastline cf the Central Region of Ghana and extends from latitudes 5* T to 5* 20’ North of the Equator and longitudes 0* 44’ to 1* 11’ West of the Greenwich Meridian, stretching for about 21 kilometers along the coastline and for about 13 kilometers inland and constituting an area of 612 square kilometers. The Municipal capital is Saltpond.
The Municipal is bounded to the West and Northwest by Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District, to the East by Gomoa District and to the South by the Atlantic Ocean.
A programme to integrate Information Communication Technology (ICT) into mathematics, English and integrated science, has been launched at Saltpond with a call on students to use the Internet wisely.
The government has instructed Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies to look out for appropriate sites for the establishment of the 200 community senior high schools promised by the National Democratic Congress in its 2012 manifesto.
