Hon. Francis Kofi Korankyi-Sakyi Twifo/Heman/Lower Denkyira (New)
Twifo/Heman/Lower Denkyira Districts Assembly with its Administrative capital Hemang was carved from Twifo-Heman Lower Denkyira (now Twifo-Ati Morkwa) and forms part of the new districts and municipalities created in the year 2012 and were inaugurated at their various locations simultaneously on the 28th June, 2012. The President H.E. J.E.A Mills, by an Executive Instrument (E.I) created 46 new Districts. All the inaugurated and confirmed MMDAs established are operational with immediate effect hence bringing the total number of MMDAs to 216. The District is one of the Twenty (20) Metropolitan, Municipalities, and Districts in the Central Region of Ghana. The District shares Boundaries with Abura-Asebu-Kwamankesse District to the East, to the South With Cape Coast Metropolitan, to the West with Mpohor Wassa East and to the North with Upper Denkyira East Municipal .
Mr. Francis Kofi Korankyi-Sakyi, District Chief Executive of Twifo-Heman-Lower-Denkyira District Assembly has assured that the six unit classroom block under construction at Nsuaem would be completed on schedule for the people.
The Commonwealth University in London on Wednesday, 28th July, 2015 awarded the District Chief Executive of Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira District, Hon. Francis Kofi Korankye Sakyi with doctorate degree in Public Administration (DPA).
The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has dragged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Hemang Lower Denkyira constituency Bright Wireko Brobbey and 17 others to court for allegedly stealing fertilisers belonging to the board.
