Hon. Francis Kofi Korankyi-Sakyi Twifo/Heman/Lower Denkyira (New)
Twifo/Heman/Lower Denkyira Districts Assembly with its Administrative capital Hemang was carved from Twifo-Heman Lower Denkyira (now Twifo-Ati Morkwa) and forms part of the new districts and municipalities created in the year 2012 and were inaugurated at their various locations simultaneously on the 28th June, 2012. The President H.E. J.E.A Mills, by an Executive Instrument (E.I) created 46 new Districts. All the inaugurated and confirmed MMDAs established are operational with immediate effect hence bringing the total number of MMDAs to 216. The District is one of the Twenty (20) Metropolitan, Municipalities, and Districts in the Central Region of Ghana. The District shares Boundaries with Abura-Asebu-Kwamankesse District to the East, to the South With Cape Coast Metropolitan, to the West with Mpohor Wassa East and to the North with Upper Denkyira East Municipal .
With about 39 communities being connected to the national electricity grid, the District Chief Executive for the Twifo-Hemang-lower-Denkyira District, Mr. Francis Kofi Korankyi-Sakyi said soon only hamlets would be without electricity in the district.
The Twifo Heman Lower Denkyira District Assembly is putting up a multi-million Cedi two-storey 20 lockable stores and 250 stalls at Twifo Heman to enhance revenue generation and improve economic activities in the area.
Mr. Francis Kofi Korankyi-Sakyi, District Chief Executive of Twifo-Heman-Lower-Denkyira District Assembly has assured that the six unit classroom block under construction at Nsuaem would be completed on schedule for the people.
