The Atwima Mponua District is located in the south-western part of the Ashanti Region covering an area of approximately 894.15 square kilometers with Nyinahin as its capital. It lies between longitude 2o00’W and 2*32’W and latitude 6o32’N and 6o75’N. The District shares boundary with eight Districts, principally in the South with the Amansie West District, Ahafo Ano South to the north, Atwima Nwabiagya in the East and Bibiani – Anwhiaso – Bekwai District of the Western Region.
Mrs Theresa Adomako Tawiah, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima-Mponua, has been commended by 300 communities in her district for the successful completion of 102 major projects across the district within three and half years in office.

A new office accommodation has been provided for the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) personnel at Nyinahin in the Atwima-Mponua District in the Ashanti Region.
About a hundred and fifty (150) orphans in the Atwima-Nwabiagya and Atwima-Mponua Districts in the Ashanti Region have been presented with gifts running into thousands of Ghana cedis.
