Tano North District is one of the 22 Districts in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. Duayaw Nkwanta is its administrative capital.
It is bounded on the North and East by the Offinso Municipal and on the North-Western by the Sunyani Municipal and the South-Western by Asutifi, Tano South on the Eastern border and Ahafo-Ano North District to the South in the Ashanti region.
Member of Parliament for Tano North constituency in the Brong Ahanfo Region, Hon. Freda Prempeh has donated 30 set of Jerseys and footballs to some selected youth clubs and churches in the area.
In a bid to provide safe and consumable meat to residents in the area, the Tano North District Assembly has constructed a new meat shop at Yamfo, a popular town within the District.
A dormitory block to house the girls in the Boakye Tromo Secondary Technical School at Duayaw-Nkwanta will very soon be completed as the project has reached advance level of completion.
Residents, especially pregnant women at Yamfro, a town in the Tano North District in the Brong Ahafo Region have expressed joy over a newly constructed maternity block for them at the Yamfro health centre.
