Hon. Rita Odoley Sowah La Dade-Kotopon Municipal (New)
La Dade-Kotopon Municipal with its Administrative capital La was carved from AMA and forms part of the new districts and municipalities created in the year 2012 and were inaugurated at their various locations simultaneously on the 28th June, 2012.The President H.E. J.E.A Mills, by an Executive Instrument (E.I) created 46 new Districts. All the inaugurated and confirmed MMDAs established are operational with immediate effect hence bringing the total number of MMDAs to 216. Municipality forms part of sixteen (16) Metropolis, municipalities and Districts in the Greater Accra Region. The Municipality shares boundaries Accra Metropolitan to the west, to the east with Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipal, to the north with La-Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal and to the south with the Gulf of Guinea.
Forty-two (42) persons with disabilities (PWD) within the La Dade-Kotopon Municipality have been supported by the Assembly to enable them survive in the country and to cater for some of their enormous needs.
Forty Eight (48) unit committee members have been sworn-in to assist assist Assembly members in the La Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly in the discharge of their duties particularly in revenue generation.
The Municipal Chief Executive of La-Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly, Rita Odoley Sowah has donated 3 motorbikes to the La-District Directorate of the Ghana Police at a mini-durbar held on the Assembly’s compound.
A building constructed by the first president of Ghana, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkramah believed to be a project intended for a crematorium has been abandoned and left at the mercy of the weather near the Dade Kotopon Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region.
