The Ga East Municipal Assembly is located at the northern part of Greater Accra Region. It is one of the ten (10) districts in the Greater Accra Region and covers a Land Area of 166 sq km.
It is boarded on the west by the Ga West Municipal Assembly (GWMA), on the east by the Adenta Municipal Assembly (AdMA), the south by Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) and on the north by the Akwapim South District Assembly.
The Accra Rotary Club, Adenta District, with support from the International Rotary in America, yesterday inaugurated an $8,000 water project for the Sesemi community in the Abokobi District of Greater Accra Region.
The Ashongman M/A school in the Ga East Municipality accommodate more than 120 pupils in a class, Assemblyman for Agbogba, Mr. Joseph Owuo Armah has complained.
Chief Executive for the Ga East Municipality, Mr. John Kwao Sackey has revealed that the Municipal Assembly recorded an increase in its internal revenue generation from 63.3 per cent in 2007 to 86.3 per cent in 2012.
