Alhaji Alhassan Bin Salih is an appointed member of the Council of State and attended University of Ghana.

He retired as a Principal Secretary. Alhaji  Bin Salih has special interest in gardening or farming, political and social discussions.

Kuoro Limann IV is an elected member of the council of state who represents the Uper West Region. He is the Paramount Chief of Gwollu Traditional Area in the Upper West Region.

Madam Amma Busia, an appointed member of the council of state was born on 10th December, 1936 and  attended Regent St. Poly, London( Institutional Management Course). 

Madam Busia was a former Principal Domestic Bursar of the University of Ghana, Legon. She has special interest in reading, politics, music and dancing.

Major-General Edwin Kwamina Sam(RTD)  is an appointed member of the Council of State and a retired army officer.
He was born on 10th August, 1940 and attended Achimota School from1955-1959.

Major-General Sam has rich security background and was a former Chief of Defence Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces. He also has special interest in farming (livestock and poultry) and Civil-Military Relations.

Most Rev. Dr. Asanti-Antwi is an appointed member of the Council of State and a clergy man.
He is the immediate-Past Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church of Ghana.

Mr. Asonaba Dapaah was elected to represent the Ashanti Region
on the Council of State. He is an entreprenuer and owns a transport firm in the Ashanti Region.

Mr. Asonaba Dapaah was born on 30th June, 1940. He is an administrator(B.Com) and has special interest in politics.

Mr Clement Tedam is an appointed member of the Council of State and a former Minister of State. He was born on 26th Novermber, 1930 and a Trained Teacher from Government Training College at Tamale.

He also studied Law, Political Science and African Studies at the University of Ghana, Legon (1969-1971). He has special interest in International Affairs, Local Government, Education and Agriculture.

Mr Ofori-Atta is an Industrial Relations Practitioner and was elected to represent Eastern Region on the Council of State.

He was born on 29th October 1930 and studied Social Science at   Montreal University. He has special interest in Industrial Relations and Negotiations.

Mr Sackah Addo was elected to represent the Eastern Region on the Council of State. He was a former Governor of the Bank of Ghana.

Mr. Kyei was born on 16th January, 1940 and has special interest in Politics(especially good governance) and Comunity Development.

Mr. Kwaku Kyei was a former Inspector General of Police (IGP),  and an appointed member of the Council of State. He holds BA(HaNS) in Political Science.

He was born on 21st September, 1929 and holds FCI, BL, M.LITT(OXON) .  He has special interest in Politics, Diplomacy and Ghana’s Foreign Policy (1957-1966), Reading and Farming.

Mr Armah is an appointed member of the Council of State and was a former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom (UK) and a Barrister-at-Law.

Mr. Adusah was born on 6th June, 1933 and holds ’O’ Levels GCE and also attended Higher Scotish Police College. He has special interest in Investigation and security.

Mr Adusah was elected to represent the Brong Ahafo Region on the Council of State. He retired from the Police Force in 1982 with the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police and joined Ghana Commercial Bank as the Senior Manager in charge of security.


Mr Anthony K Deku was a former Commissioner of Police at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID)and Managing Director of Securicor Limited.

Mr. Deku was born on 13th June, 1923 and holds Standard VII Scholar/Advance Police Career. He has special interest in Police Career and Security Consultant.

Mr Essuman is a Management Consultant in the Central Region. He was elected to represent the Central Region on the Council.

Mr Afoko was elected  to represent the Upper East Region. He is a Businessman and holds Standard Seven Certificate from Prof. Diploma Police College, Cairo Egypt.

He was born on July, 1926 and has special interest in sports, football in particular.

Mr Damoah was elected to represent the Western Region on the Council of State. He is an agriculturist.

Mrs Afenyi-Dadzie is an appointed member of the Council of State and a past President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA). 

She is a member of the Media Commission and a management member of First Africa, a financial firm in Ghana.

Mrs. Cecilia  Bannerman is an appointed member of the Council of State and a former Minister of Mines during the firt term of the Kufuor administration.

Before that position, she was the minister for manpower and employment.

Naa Sulemana is the Zosali-Na and an appointed member of the Council of State.

He holds Teachers Cert. ’A’  and worked with the Information Service Department. He was born on 1st April, 1932 and has special interest in farming, reading and  writing in Dagbani.

Nana Siribour II is an appointed member of the Council of State and a prominent traditional leader. He is the Paramount Chief of Asante-Juaben Traditional Area and a former lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology,(KNUST).

He holds B Sc.(Eng) and is an Industrialist. He was born on 15th March, 1944 and has special interest in reading, football and gardening.

He  was born on 16th March, 1942 and has special interest in music, dancing, reading and farming.

Odeneho Gyapong Ababio II is an appointed member of the Council of State and a prominent traditional leader. He is the Paramount Chief of Sefwi-Bekwai Traditional Area and President of the National House of Chiefs. He holds B Sc. Agricultural Engineering.

Professor Daniel Adzei Bekoe was appointed to the Council of State and subsequently elected as the Chairman.
He is a renowned Scientist and a former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Legon, the premier university in Ghana.

Professor Nabila is well known in Ghana for his educational  background and the contributions he has made to bring peace in the Northern part of Ghana.

He is a traditional leader for one of the communities in the Northern Region and was elected to represent the Northern Region on the Council.

Togbe Kpangbatriku III is the Paramount Chief of Dodome Traditional Area in the Volta Region. He was elected to represent the region on the Council of State.
