Obuasi East Assembly commissions new police station
The Obuasi East District Assembly has commissioned a modern police station at Kwabenakwa, and a 20-seater toilet facility with septic tank and a merchandised borehole for the Christ the King Catholic Senior High School.

The two projects were funded from the Assembly’s share of the District Assemblies’ Common Fund.

The Police Station according to the District Chief Executive (DCE), Mrs. Faustina Amissah, had come at a time the Assembly was determined to fight crime in the District, especially the stretch from Kwabenakwa to Domeabra.


DCOP Afful Boakye Yiadom, the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, lauded the Assembly for putting up the structure and further called for support and cooperation for the police force in the area.

He again called for professionalism on the part of the police personnel who will work at the facility.
The headmaster of CKC School also expressed gratitude to the Assembly for attending to their needs.

He also called on the Assembly and old students of the school to help them complete a 600-bed girl’s dormitory.


 “This is a welcome relief for all of us at CKC, we are also appealing to the Assembly and old students to help complete the girls ‘dormitory in the school which has stalled since 2010” he said.
