MCE cuts sod for the construction of an ultra-modern CHIP Compound at Brawire/Akyinim

The Municipal Chief Executive of the Nzema East Municipal Assembly, Mr. Frank Okpenyen has cut sod for the construction of an ultra-modern CHIP compound for the people of Brawire-Akyinim at a brief ceremony held at Brawire Chief's palace.

Brawire-Akyinim is a densely populated suburb of Axim with an estimated population of over 3,000 persons with no health facility. The nearest health facility is the Axim General Hospital which tends to inconvenience sick persons who are in urgent need of first aid.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Frank Okpenyen highlighted on the need for providing quality healthcare in every society within the Municipality. He stressed that quality healthcare is the cornerstone for economic development as it brings increased productivity.

The chief of Brawire, Nana Edusei II, expressed gratitude to Hon. Frank Okpenyen for the continuous show of goodwill towards the people of Brawire. He also appealed to H. E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to renominate Frank Okpenyen for a second term as he performed very well in his first term of office.

The project is being financed by the Brawire Landing Beach committee as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility.

The various Landing Beaches under the leadership of MCE with support from the area premix coordinator, Mr Eric Jim has outlined various developmental projects in the coastal communities of Axim.
