TaMA: Mayor introduces Sunday Market
The Mayor of the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly (TaMA), Mr Musah Iddirisu has inaugurated Sunday Market in the metropolis which will take effect from 28 January 2018.

Two major streets in the central business center have been designated for the said Sunday market.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, the Mayor, Mr Iddirisu gave out the outline of the designated places for trading which will in effect allow all traders, hawkers, among others to freely display their wares and do brisk business on the said streets starting next Sunday, 28th January, 2018.



He advised all those using unathorised places within the Central Business center to take advantage of the Sunday Market initiative.

The Mayor however placed a caution to the effect that leaders of the Sunday Market will be held liable for the violation of the conditions attached to this decision by TaMA.



The market will be the stretch from the taxi rank to the traffic lights around Chairman Azorka's place, the by-lane along the Zenith and Commercial banks are located and the road between Access Bank and Nagasaki junction on the Alhassan hotel road.

Both roads will be closed to vehicular movements every Sunday to allow for the usage of the roads for trading purposes.
