ASUTIFI N: Otumfuo Project Foundation gave out literature book, dictionary to JHS pupils
The Otumfuo Project Foundation through Nana Osei Kofi Abiri, Omanhene Kenyasi No.1, on the 2nd May distributed over 500 copies of Literature Book, “The Cockcrow” and Oxford Dictionary to JHS pupils of Kenyasi No.1 town.

According to Mr. Godwin Agyemang Donkor, Project Manager of the Foundation, the project started two months ago. The main purpose of this project is to engage the students in reading whiles at home during this pandemic. He also reiterated the name for this project is “Project one storybook, one dictionary” and it’s a community-based campaign.

Usually is the Chiefs who go to Otumfuo to inform Him they want their communities or town to have their ‘piece of cake’ of the books. So far we have visited 42 communities in Ashanti Region and Kenyasi No.1 is the first Ahafo community we have visited he said. According to Mr. Agyemang, they brought over 1,000 literature books and 200 oxford dictionary to give out but they are looking forward to 700 JHS pupils in Kenyasi No.1.



Nana Osei Kofi Abiri Omanhene Kenyasi No.1 of Ahafo Region thanked Otumfuo Osei Tutu for his kindness, for not rejecting his request when he came to him.

He also said Otumfuo is passionate about education because he has already given Him 12 desktop computers in some schools.

Nana Osei Abiri commended the pupils for putting on their nose mask, He brought nose masks to be distributed to the pupils, but surprisingly everyone in the park was on a nose mask. He also advised on social distancing, proper handwashing, and use of sanitizers.



Mr. Amoako Asare Director of Ghana Education Service Asutifi North thanked Otumfuo and Nana Osei Kofi Abiri for their love for education, and also entreat the pupils to utilize their time very well by making reading and learning a habit.
