ASOKWA: Kumasi High School get 12-unit classroom block
The Municipal Chief Executive of Asokwa Mr. Akwannuasa Gyimah and the Member of Parliament for the area, Madam Patricia Appiagyei commissioned a twelve unit classroom block for Kumasi High School.

The facility was built by Messers Joyflux Construction Limited and was funded by government of Ghana to improve educational infrastructure.

In a brief ceremony to commission the project, the MCE commended the contractor for delivering the project on time and urged the officials of the school to make good use of the facility to accommodate the increasing number of first year students.

The Member of Parliament, Madam Appiagyei also expressed satisfaction at the project and called for proper maintenance of the school and noted that KUHIS is the only boys’ senior high school in the Asokwa Municipality and therefore all effort will be made to keep it in good shape to remain one of the best schools in the country.

The Headmaster of school, Ben Hall-Baidoo expressed his appreciation to the government for the Free Senior High School policy and the attempt to upgrade the schools with infrastructure.



He also lauded the MCE for showing particular interest in the school’s upkeep and mentioned that the MCE visit the school every two days to check on students, staff as well as facilities on campus.

He therefore appealed that more support should be provided to the school to enable them undertake many projects needed including the construction of a proper football pitch and staff accommodation.
