1,850 farmers benefit from PERD project in Achase district
About 1,850 farmers in the Achiase District have been given nursed seedlings of cocoa and oil palm as part of the government planting for Export and Rural Development project.

The farmers will also be given fertilizers by the district to enhance their yield. About 1,350 of the beneficiary farmers will get cocoa seedlings while get 500 farmers will get oil palm seedlings.

In all 68,000 cocoa seedlings and 40000 oil palm seedlings were distributed to the farmer.

The distribution was done based on the size of the land of the farmer.



The District Chief Executive, Richard Amponsah Agyabeng admonished the farmers to ensure that they take good care of the seedlings, indicating that the PERD project is a project at the heart of the government since the president believes it is one of the key projects that will catapult the country from poverty into wealth.

He further added that his office will continue to monitor the progress of the seedlings taken by the farmers to ensure that the project becomes a success.

The farmers expressed happiness about the project and thanked government for the project.

Mrs Adelaide Ntim Agyeiwaa is eyeing the parliamentary seat of Nsuta Kwaman Beposo Constituency in the ticket of NPP and prior to the limited registration exercise she has given out cash donation to the hierarchy of the party at Nsuta in the Sekyere Central District to cushion the party in diverse ways.

Presenting the cash on her behalf, Justice Bonah the assembly member for the palace electoral area stated that for all this years the aspirant has been putting her sweat in line towards the welfare of the party.

He explained that,she had previously donated motorbikes and desk top computer to the party to reshape the activities of the party in constituency wide in a modern standard manner.
