Afadjato South ready for fight against new coronavirus
The District Chief Executive of Afadjato South, Etornam James Flolu has held a closed door public health emergency management meeting with some officials from the Afadjato south district.

This move was to discuss some measures being put in place to combat the corona virus.

The District Chief Executive together with his entourage later visitedwent to the major border in the district "Leklebi Kame Tornu Border" where he had an interaction with the officers on duty.

He inspected the preparedness of the team at the border to screen and identify entrants who may show symptoms of the Covid-19 and also commended the health directorate for prompt deployment to the border.


He emphasized on the need to keep washing our hands frequently and sanitizing them after which he went ahead to donate some hand gloves, nose mask and hand sanitizers to the officers at the border line.

He further extended his visit to the Togolese officers at the “Kame Tornu” border where he reemphasized his desire in combating the virus and readily made available some health kits to be used.

Subsequently, the team together with the Hon. DCE visited the Ve Golokwati market where he once again educated the people as to how they should protect themselves against the disease.


The DCE ended at the Golokwati Taxi station where he met with commercial motor riders, Hairdressers and other artisans, Hon. Etornam stressed on the need to observe the basic rules of prevention such as frequent washing of hands, limiting close contacts with each other and avoid attending crowded events like funerals, weddings in the interim.

The District Chief Executive was accompanied by the District coordinating director, officials from the district health directorates, Heads of various security services, the district NADMO director and some other staffs from the assembly.
